Neighbourhood Innovation Lab believes close neighbourly relationships create the unique charm of each neighbourhood. Through various community innovation projects, we seek to understand how to foster an inclusive neighbourhood identity in dense Asian cities.
Using design thinking as our methodology, our projects connect to and create partnerships across multiple neighbourhood stakeholders. By opening up conversations and dialogues, we envision to shape inclusive and human-centred neighbourhoods. To the future, we are keen to explore the integration of civic technology and use of data to empower cities and their citizens.
We are an initiative by Architecture Commons. In 2020, we have been named Fast Company's World Changing Ideas 2020 under the Spaces, Places, and Cities category as Honourable Mention.
鄰里關係研究所深信緊密的鄰里關係會爲每個社區增添獨特的魅力。透過不同的社區創新項目，我們旨在探索如何在人口稠密的亞洲城市裏，培養出一個共融的鄰里身份認同。
我們利用設計思維，連結社區内芸芸持份者，開創出不同的合作可能。透過展開種種對話，我們期望塑造出一個共融的、以人爲本的社區。展望未來，我們熱衷於研究如何把數據與科技應用在公民社會，充實各種城市和居民的生活。
本項目由 Architecture Commons 發起。鄰里關係研究所於2020年獲美國商業月刊 Fast Company 提名為其中一個改變世界的理念，並於空間，地方和城市類別中獲得優異獎。

NIL creates a platform to listen and co-create, synthesizes our social listening into actionable insight for all relevant stakeholders. Insights are translated into possible testable solutions addressing the problems raised by the public.
